We are a privately-owned, physical therapy and sports rehabilitation clinic specializing in the evaluation and treatment of all musculoskeletal injuries and conditions and pre- and post-surgical rehabilitation. The hallmark of the practice is the merging of vast orthopedic knowledge, advanced manual therapy, skilled exercise prescription, clear patient education and supervised one-on-one care. We have created, developed and nurtured meaningful working relationships with physicians in the Metro West community. We look forward to providing our patients the most up-to-date and evidence-based orthopedic physical therapy care possible.
Company History
Advanced Sports Therapy has been a mainstay for orthopedic, sports medicine physical therapy in the Metro West community since 2005. Advanced Sports Therapy began as a satellite clinic of Orthopedic and Sports Physical Therapy Associates with owners Nick Mitropoulos and Deb Band-Entrup creating a partnership with Matt Penney. Advanced Sports Therapy quickly grew to be a prominent location for physical therapy with physicians at Newton-Wellesley Hospital, New England Baptist Hospital, and Tufts Medical Center. The clinic works closely with Wellesley Country Club members as well as students and club athletes at Wellesley College. Recently, the clinic changed ownership from the trio of Nick, Deb and Matt to Matt obtaining sole ownership of Advanced Sports Therapy. Matt and the staff at Advanced Sports Therapy are committed to perpetuating their leadership role as the premier orthopedic and sports physical therapy clinic in the Wellesley/Newton communities with up-to-date evidence-based practice, precise clinical decision making and friendly customer service.
